PES 2016 MyClub is a free to play soccer game available on the PC
PES is an annual also-ran in the world of soccer games, usually losing the spotlight to the FIFA series. It's hard to understand why this is, of course, because the PES games tend to be a bit more solid. For PES's 2016 version, the company behind the game decided to do something novel - it decoupled the MyClub mode and made it free to play. While it's got a few (easily ignored) microtransactions connected to the mode, this is a totally free way to play one of the better soccer titles released in recent years. The end result is a game that is fun to play, and that soccer fans have absolutely no reason to skip.
The only downside to the game is that it isn't the full version of PES 2016. There's more that could be done with the game, but you get what you pay for. The AI is still awful and there's probably still improvements coming in the future, but all in all this is a fantastic game that deserves far more attention than it gets.
If you want to play a soccer game and don't want to pay for it, there's no reason to avoid PES 2016 MyClub. Yes, there are games with more features out there, but not for the rock bottom price of absolutely nothing. This is a solid soccer game by any metric, and the fact that it is free makes it pretty much perfect. If you can overlook the fact that you are getting only part of the experience, you'll fall in love with this game.
